Elementary Building (Grades K-5)
The Elementary Building is a vibrant learning environment where children transition from early childhood education to structured academic exploration. With specialized rooms, this building supports kindergarten through third grade, emphasizing hands-on learning and play to encourage creativity, engagement, and personal growth.
Kindergarten Room
The kindergarten room bridges the gap between preschool and elementary education. It features interactive learning stations for early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving, along with cozy corners for quiet reading or independent activities. Daily routines blend guided lessons with play-based exploration, such as storytelling, group games, and arts and crafts.
Teachers focus on building foundational skills in a nurturing environment, preparing children academically, socially, and emotionally for the next stage of their learning journey.
1st Grade Classroom
The first-grade classroom is designed to foster a sense of curiosity and achievement as children begin formal learning. The room is equipped with collaborative workspaces to support a variety of activities. Students engage in reading and writing workshops, math games, and introductory STEM projects.
In this room teachers encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through inquiry-based lessons and group discussions, helping children develop the confidence to explore new ideas and express themselves.
2nd Grade Classroom
The second-grade classroom builds on the foundational skills introduced in first grade, focusing on deeper exploration and independent learning. The room features projects that often include creative writing, group science experiments, and art-based presentations. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively and independently, developing their abilities to analyze, reason, and communicate effectively.
3rd Grade Classroom
The third-grade classroom is a vibrant space where children refine their academic skills and prepare for upper elementary levels. With an emphasis on project-based learning, students participate in activities such as building models, conducting research projects, and presenting their findings to peers. The room includes access to a small library, science lab materials, and art supplies to support cross-disciplinary exploration. Teachers guide students in setting goals, managing responsibilities, and building leadership skills, ensuring they are well-equipped for future challenges.
Speech-Language Room
The speech-language room offers a quiet, welcoming space for children who need additional support with communication skills. Staffed by certified therapists, this room provides individualized and small-group sessions tailored to each child’s needs. Activities focus on improving articulation, vocabulary, and conversational skills through engaging games, storytelling, and interactive exercises.
Therapy Rooms
The therapy rooms provide a calm and supportive environment for children who benefit from occupational therapy. These spaces are equipped with specialized tools, such as sensory integration materials and adaptive equipment, to help children build essential skills and overcome challenges. Our therapists work closely with families to create personalized plans that support each child’s overall development and well-being.
